Barr-Tech is dedicated to an integrated approach to carbon-neutral processing of regional organic
waste. Barr-Tech is partnering with N.W. Industrial Services, LLC, a waste hauling company and the
Odessa Public Development Authority to establish a facility that will provide an economic and environmental
alternative to Eastern Washington’s organic waste challenges. Barr-Tech is strategically located
for minimal residential impact and maximum ease of accessibility along the I-90 corridor 22 miles from
Spokane's metropolitan area.

Organic waste recycling in the northeastern section of the State of Washington is limited due to the lack
of a local processing facility. Yard waste is currently trucked 280 miles round trip and food waste recycling
isn’t available.

Site Location & Regional Impact
Radius

Barr-Tech offers the Eastern Washington region an opportunity to localize its organic waste into one campus and reduce the haul to 44 miles roundtrip.

Barr-Tech has broken ground on a 40-acre facility in rural Lincoln County at the Barr Regional Bio-Industrial Park located 22 miles from the Spokane metropolitan area from where it will be drawing the majority of its feedstock.   This urban/rural partnership will open new avenues for organic waste recycling in the northeastern region of Washington State.
